Hello everyone! Welcome to my annual Emmys fashion edition! As I am sure you all know by now, The Emmys are my favorite award show. It really is one of my favorite nights of the year.

Without a doubt, we are in the Golden Age of Television. Movie stars are becoming tv stars. Streaming has blown up into unbelievable proportions. Television has become inclusive of all, particularly the LGBTQ+ community. Most of all, television series have transformed the way we tell stories.

We all have our favorite shows, mine of course is Game of Thrones. I was very excited to see the cast reunited for one last trophy haul. Though I was bit annoyed to see Lena Headey and Emilia Clarke get snubbed. Also, I know the academy does not agree with me, but I totally wanted to see Julia Louis-Dreyfus win one more time for Veep. If Veep wasn’t going to win, then Schitts Creek should have been a very close second! Justice for Moira Rose!

Any who, we are here to talk about last night’s purple carpet. There were so many amazing looks last night, I can’t even settle on a top ten this time around. The stars brought it. However I will say, the Game of Thrones cast brought it a bit harder then everyone else! Check out my favorite looks below.

Top Favorite Looks of the Night

My picks for top looks is dedicated to the cast of Game of Thrones. Together, the leading ladies of Westeros put everyone else to shame (with Zendaya and Catherine O’Hara being the exception). Through the years, this cast has constantly lead the industry through fashion, acting, philanthropy, all with utmost class. I love these women, and I will miss seeing them all together. The Emmys will never be the same. However, I know their days of red carpet slaying are not over. Long live Game of Thrones, and cheers to the future!
