About The Author:
Mariana was born in Colombia and grew up immersed in a very artistic and creative environment. She attended a music academy for over 10 years, and it was here where she started developing her passion for costumes and fashion. She studied Fashion Design at LCI Bogota, but her creative career really began with putting outfits together for her music peers, designing costumes, and making headpieces out of recycling material. By the time she was done with fashion school, she worked for 2 years in the industry, but she knew that she wanted to get immersed in the costume world. Her dream was to bring characters to life, and understand their stories, rather than having a fashion brand. She quit her job and came to Canada in 2019, pursuing her dreams. She is currently a Costume Production student at Fanshawe College.
